Vector maps from the market leader Navteq:

NAVTEQ is the market leader for vector maps and the only supplier that maps the whole road network using GPS.

Thus, the maps are very accurate and detailed. The map can be zoomed to a 20 meters scale and includes several information layers that can be enabled or disabled using the "Layer Manager". These include: country boundaries, waterways, forests, places, railways, motorways, main roads, side roads, service facilities (service stations and garages), other services (e.g. hotels and restaurants, public buildings, etc.).

Overlay function: The individual layers of the NAVTEQ map can also be displayed on any grid map. This function is particularly helpful when using satellite images.


Touratech offer two different Versions of Navteq-maps:

Navteq Routing:

The Navteq-Routing-map enables you to calculate routes according to different criteria (e. g. quickest or shortest route). Here, you can include as many stop-over points as you like and set your preferred type of road. You can also revise a suggested route manually before you uploading the route to a GPS unit.

With Touratech QV you are able to convert the calculated route to a track. This is a helpful function if you dont have installed a routing-able map on your GPS-device.


Navteq-Navi

Thus the Navteq-Navi-map will become a powerful navigation system. If you connect your Notebook or Tablet-PC with a GPS-receiver clear voice instructions will show you the way (voice can be selected). If you wish the street name can be announced. As an option the route can be recalculated automatically if you leave the route.


This maps only for use with Touratech QV and cannot upload to a GPS-Device.
