The Touratech engine guard for the BMW R 12 G/S sets new standards in terms of stability and protection. Made from high-strength aluminum, precisely laser-cut, CNC-bent, and elaborately welded, it provides a perfect fit and large-area protection for all critical areas in the lower engine, header, and collector sections. The proven sandwich construction of a robust stainless steel base plate and a precisely shaped aluminum guard has also been retained for the G/S.

A special design feature of the Touratech engine guard with extension is the additional support of the extension in the collector area. Unlike conventional solutions, impact energy is absorbed across the entire surface and dissipated through the stable structure. This ensures reliable protection for the otherwise exposed exhaust collector. Internal cooling fins reduce heat buildup, while reinforcement ribs and multiple bolted connections to a robust stainless steel support element create an extremely durable overall system.

The multi-part design also allows for easy maintenance: individual components, such as the aluminum plates, can be removed with just a few simple steps.
