Product Details
The Touratech Extreme2 Offroad Edition suspension systems – designed
for maximum performance in the toughest off-road conditions. For those
who push their motorcycles to the limit, these shocks are the essential
upgrade that gives you complete control under extreme conditions.
- Large, finely graduated adjustment range for 100% individual customization.
- Improved bottom-out protection thanks to the optimized PDS function.
- Innovative low-friction piston band – minimizes friction, maximizes response speed.
The
newly developed shock sets new standards in customization and ease of
use. With an extended adjustment range, rebound and compression damping
can be precisely and finely adjusted to perfectly tailor the suspension
to individual needs.
Thanks to the new electronic spring
preload adjustment in a compact design, installation is quick and easy –
without the need for external EPA pumps. Robust, space-saving, and
efficient, it optimizes the suspension, while the pump discreetly
utilizes the available space, keeping the GS slim and always ready for
any adventure.
With a 46 mm damper piston equipped with a
low-friction piston band, the system ensures an extremely direct and
sensitive response. The separating piston incorporates an additional
guide that promotes low-friction sliding, further improving
responsiveness.
The enhanced functionality of the
Progressive Damping System (PDS) with a newly designed hydraulic stop
reliably prevents bottoming out, even in extreme situations. An
enlarged, two-part reservoir provides more oil volume and a maximized
cooling surface, enabling effective heat dissipation and guaranteeing
consistent damping performance even under extreme loads.
Various
adjustment options make the Offroad Edition suspension components a
flexible system. While rebound damping is adjusted at the shock absorber
base, the dual compression damping adjustment at the reservoir allows
for precise adjustment over a particularly wide range. The low- and
high-speed settings can be easily adjusted using color-coded controls.
For
vehicles with electronic DDA suspension, the tuning package includes
matching cancellation plugs that simply connect to the existing
connectors and prevent error messages in the cockpit.
Like
all Touratech Suspension components, the "Offroad Edition" shock
absorbers are fully serviceable. After intensive riding or heavy use,
the shocks can be disassembled and overhauled to ensure consistent
performance and long-lasting riding enjoyment under extreme conditions.
The
basic setup included here is designed for riders up to 100 kg plus
luggage. Adjustments are possible for significantly higher loads or
other exceptional requirements. We will then customize the shock
absorber to your specific needs.
