The new Touratech Compañero ULTIMATE

Top class textile suit

Touratech has been gaining extensive experience in the field of premium rider equipment for more than a decade. The company, based in Niedereschach, has now bundled all this know-how in the Compañero ULTIMATE to create a textile suit that utilises all that is currently technically feasible in the areas of safety, comfort and functionality.

Certified safety

The Compañero ULTIMATE is the only textile suit manufactured in Europe to have the highest possible certification, class AAA, compliant with the EN 17092-2:2020 standard for motorcycle protective clothing. This is made possible by the innovative technical construction and the exclusive use of selected high-tech materials. Gore-Tex® Pro Shell three-layer laminate is used as the base material. Large ArmacorTM overlays on particularly exposed areas reinforce the already extremely abrasion and tear resistant Cordura® of the outer material on shoulders, elbows, knees and inside legs. Protection in the case of impact is provided by the maximum possible outfitting with Level 2 protectors. The jacket is equipped with these certified elements at the elbows, shoulders, chest and back, the trousers at the knees and hips. The position of the protectors on the elbows and knees can be adjusted individually.

Maximum comfort

The main material for the Compañero ULTIMATE is a special Gore-Tex® Pro Shell three-layer laminate. The material is absolutely windproof and waterproof and has excellent water vapour permeability. For all its robustness, the PRO SHELL used is particularly supple, which is why the Compañero ULTIMATE is significantly more comfortable to wear than other laminate suits on the market.

The opulent features of the Compañero ULTIMATE also include an inner jacket made from Polartec® Wind Pro® fleece, which also looks great when worn separately. The infinitely adjustable collar of the suit, with its soft finish, as well as the innovative double layer system in the chin area is particularly pleasant. In exceptionally adverse weather conditions, the waterproof and windproof Gore-Tex storm collar, also included, can be zipped on.

The integrated, removable kidney belt supports your lower back, makes for a lightweight feeling and also optimises the position of your back protector.

The trousers have double loops that allow a variable position of the belt supplied, enabling you to adjust the waist height. Maximum elasticity is provided by the generous stretch areas at the seat and knees.

The hem width and sleeve width adjusters are examples of numerous other features. The hem width of the jacket can be adjusted by means of two side zips. Due to this, the jacket offers you maximum comfort even when sitting. The twin drawcord width adjustment at the sleeves ensures the secure fit of the elbow protectors at the same time.

Effective ventilation

In high summer heat or during physical exertion on demanding offroad passages, the completely new ventilation system ensures effective air circulation. The Compañero ULTIMATE jacket and trousers have a total of 15 ventilation openings.

Different systems are used depending on where they are located on the body. These range from the classic labyrinth opening to Aquaseal® zips from YKK® and the innovative Stadler Air Scoop System (SASS). The patented and globally unique SASS ensures maximum cooling efficiency. This system is used on the sleeves and waist of the Compañero ULTIMATE jacket and on the thighs of the trousers.

The twin front zip already tried and tested in the Compañero Rambler also enhances the ventilation system in the ULTIMATE. The further the absolutely windproof and waterproof outer zip is opened, the more of the approximately three centimetre wide ventilation gap is uncovered. At the same time, the inner zip ensures that the jacket always remains securely closed.

Practical functionality

The Compañero ULTIMATE‘s high level of functionality already starts with something that might be considered mere outer appearance: the colour. The light undertone effectively reflects the sunlight with the result that the suit hardly heats up. The ULTIMATE has an antibacterial mesh lining that prevents unpleasant odours even when the going is tough.

The Compañero ULTIMATE‘s generous pockets ensure that small everyday items such as your ignition key, wallet, telephone etc. are always well organised and within easy reach. The jacket has two waterproof outer pockets with zips and press studs, two small outer pockets (e.g. for Keyless Go keys), one waterproof inner pocket accessible from the outside next to the main zip, one waterproof inner pocket and one large waterproof back pocket with zips and press studs.

This storage space is complemented by two zipped trouser pockets and two waterproof cargo pockets on the thighs.

The easily accessible connecting zip between the trousers and jacket is particularly practical on long hauls. For durability, the hems of the trouser legs are reinforced to prevent damage from boot buckles.

One detail that should not be underestimated, especially in conditions of poor visibility, is the generous amount of reflective material with which the Compañero ULTIMATE is equipped. The sections of extra-durable reflective material, already well-proven in police and emergency services clothing, are arranged to emphasise the silhouette of the human body, dramatically improving visual detection by other road users.

The Compañero ULTIMATE was developed in cooperation with Stadler GmbH in Aidenbach, Lower Bavaria, and is manufactured to the highest quality standards in the European production facilities of the textile clothing specialist.
