Met zijn goede off-road capaciteiten nodigt de R1200GS keer op keer uit tot uitgebreide off-road excursies. Speciaal voor de R1200GS hebben we een motorbeschermer ontwikkeld die ervoor zorgt dat dit plezier niet verloren gaat. Stoten en belastingen worden verdeeld over het gehele motorblok, waardoor de motorbehuizing optimaal wordt beschermd. De afgeschuinde vorm aan de voorzijde van de motorbeschermer maakt het veel gemakkelijker om over stenen, rotsen en oneffen terrein te glijden tijdens ruw off-road gebruik.
