Lowering SET - 30mm Cartridge Kit and Shock absorber Extreme2 for BMW R12 G/S (2025-)

This Touratech Suspension SET lowers the bike by 30mm, representing the absolute premium class in suspension technology. This Extreme2 shock absorber and Extreme Cartridge are perfectly designed for touring and riding conditions with frequent and significant changes in load and riding conditions, or for extreme demands.

Simply put, the Extreme Cartridge is a shock absorber for the fork. The closed cartridge is installed in the original fork. This means the triple clamp/handlebar mount, brakes, wheel guidance, and steering geometry remain completely unchanged. No additional modifications to the fork are required. This closed cartridge is perfectly designed for touring and riding conditions with frequent and significant changes in load and riding conditions, or for the most extreme demands.

The Extreme2 shock absorber incorporates PDS2, a hydraulic bottom-out protection system that uses a second damping piston. Even under the most extreme road conditions with a full load of luggage, bottoming out is prevented, thus avoiding mechanical overload of the shock absorber. The damping is travel-dependent. During most riding situations, the shock absorber is set for comfort and reduced fatigue before the PDS (Porsche Dynamic Suspension) engages in the final part of the shock's travel.

This means that any luggage volume, from a tail bag to a fully loaded luggage system and/or a passenger, is accommodated by the extreme adjustment range. The motorcycle's balance can be easily and quickly restored by hand using the hydraulic spring preload adjuster. The finely adjustable damping on the reservoir allows for effective, precise suspension settings tailored to your personal riding style for any road condition and purpose, whether on highways/motorways, main roads, country lanes, off-road sections, long-distance tours with heavy luggage, or a fast, spirited riding style.

You will experience a completely new riding sensation on your motorcycle.

The standard setup installed here is designed for riders up to 100 kg (220 lbs) plus luggage. Adjustments for significantly higher loads or other exceptional requirements are possible. We will then customize the shock absorber to your specific needs.

Our recommendation: Have the conversion carried out by a specialist workshop.

Note: The side stand and center stand may need to be adjusted in length.
