A.R.T.T. Certification

A.R.T.T.

Adventure Rider Tours + Training

The Goal

The goal of A.R.T.T. is to generate worldwide standards for Touratech Tourguides and Instructors, and also standards for Touratech Tours offered to international customers from all over the world. The goal is that every customer on "a Touratech Tour" may expect and will experience the same high quality of travelling, no matter where he travels with Touratech. A.R.T.T. is being developed in a powerful cooperation between Tour Operator Number 1 Edelweiss Bike Travel and Touratech Headquarters.

Every rider with a passed A.R.T.T. certification can conduct official Touratech tours and trainings as an independent or commissioned Touratech Tourguide or Touratech Instructor. In addition to certification, this requires an agreement with one of the worldwide Touratech importers and business partners or, of course, with the Touratech headquarters in Niedereschach.

The participants of the Touratech A.R.T.T. certification programs come from all over the world.

Each participant must meet specific legal requirements as well as personal qualifications in order to complete the certification week and the final exam in a valuable and successful way.

1

The participant is holder of a valid international driving license.

2

The participant is mentally/physically able of guiding a group. He will confirm that he is in good health condition and not addicted to drugs.

3

The participant must understand, speak and write English fluently (in order to unterstand course contents and to be able to pass the final exam).

4

The participant is able to handle and manoeuvre a bike without problems (e.g. loading/unloading, pushing a bike, correcting a parking position, picking up a bike etc.).

5

The participant is able to ride very slowly on all different kinds of ground.

6

  • The participant is a prudent rider with very good riding skills in every condition;
  • riding experience of minimum 5 years is required;
  • he is experienced in every weather condition, on different grounds and different road / track characteristics (e.v. steep mountain passes, main traffic arteries etc.)

You should be able to do this blindfolded

A tourguide is way more than just the person who leads a group of motorcyclists.

The experience customers have on a motorcycle tour stands of falls with the tourguide. A good tourguide will be able to respond to each rider individually, as well as tie a group together into a community.

A good tourguide never appears to be stressed or strained - no matter if there's heavy rain or any unforeseen events of obstacles along the way.

The tourguide is the person of trust on a motorcycle tour or travel. He is trusted by both the individual group members and the company on whose behalf and in whose name he is leading the group.

A demanding job.

Your Personal Gain

In the A.R.T.T. tourguide training, the professionals from Edelweiss Bike Travel will teach you all aspects and facets of your exciting and varying tasks as a tourguide.
