Whether it has to go over the Alps, as the model name suggests, remains to be seen. What is indisputable, however, is that the Honda XL750 Transalp is a motorcycle for long distances. And the longer the stage, the more important it is to optimise seat comfort. Based on decades of experience, Touratech has now developed a comfort seat specially customised for the Transalp - in three versions.
Supreme quality - Made in Germany
Touratech comfort benches are always designed as a complete unit for optimum functionality and easy replacement. The seat base, foam core and cover are developed and manufactured by our partner company Crew68 in Murnau according to strict Touratech specifications.
Ergonomically shaped foam core
At the heart of every Touratech comfort seat is the foam core. The formula is customised for each model in order to achieve the optimum values for comfort and firmness. The ideal shape for each model is determined in a complex process. The hollow groove along the longitudinal axis of the seat , which relieves pressure on the coccyx, is particularly important. The angle of inclination of the seat surface is also important for comfort on long rides. On the one hand, it must prevent the rider from slipping forwards, which can exhaust the rider, and on the other hand, it must support the rider's pelvic position in terms of an ergonomically correct posture. The sophisticated contour of every Touratech comfort seat also ensures even weight distribution and optimised vehicle contact for perfect control.
Seat cover with Fresh Touch technology
When creating the patterns for the cover material, the Touratech specialists take great care to avoid annoying seams that could lead to pressure points on long rides. An advanced cover material with Fresh Touch technology is used for the comfort seat of the Transalp. The special coating reflects the infrared component of the sunlight and thus reduces the heating of the surface by 10 degrees. Naturally the bi-elastic material is sewn completely waterproof.
Three seat heights for individual comfort
The Touratech comfort seat for the Honda XL750 Transalp is available as a one-piece version that allows easy changes to the riding position and playful weight shifts for off-road riding.
Three heights are available, each with customised firmness of the foam to enable riders of different heights to achieve optimum ergonomics on their Transalp.
